Mama Care - Nourishing Resilience and Heart in Challenging Times
Times: Sundays, 10-11.30am
Dates: Sunday 5th April, 19th April, 26th April and 3rd May
In this four week course we will build a foundation for your uplifting yoga practice - starting from the basics of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation to a place where you feel comfortable to continue to develop your own daily practice or sadhana.
There will be some opportunity for reflection and journaling around your own experience of motherhood - as we learn new tools and perspectives to support our journey.
This is an opportunity to nourish and replenish your inner resources for coping in these challenging times.
Week 1 – Form and Alignment – Experience your Vital Force.
In this class we will explore the basics of Kundalini Yoga and share Surya Kriya for increased energy and vitality. Our meditation this week is to help repair damage from any long term stress and works on the heart, kidneys and adrenal glands.
Week 2 – Self Compassion - Opening the Heart
Care of our own heart is vital if we are to give and receive love – and nourish our children. In this class the yoga set is designed to bring increased oxygen to the heart as well as allowing us to release any blocks to our energy flow so that we may love fearlessly. Our meditation this week is especially for women – to help us to work on our children and to hold our boundaries.
Week 3 - Letting Go - Releasing Anger
This week we share a fun and powerful yoga set for releasing anger helps us to detox our liver and consciously let go of any tension, resentments, frustrations or negativity so that we can feel light and live with joy and grace. We follow with a meditation to release the past.
Week 4 - Honouring the Essence of Self
A key gift of Kundalini Yoga is coming back to ourselves, using our time on the mat to physically through any tensions or life issues we may have, to release stress and deeply relax so that we can fully arrive in being ourselves. We end with a beautiful healing meditation.
