VINYASA FLOW YOGA
When: Tuesdays, 7-8pm and Saturdays, 10.30-11.30am
Vinyasa Flow classes include a variety of yoga sequences including standing, balancing and seated postures with a focus on creating both flexibility and strength within the body.
Vinyasa yoga improves muscle tone, builds core muscle, increases flexibility and builds strength, balance and stability in the body.
Modifications are offered to students to either ease or strengthen their practice. There is also a focus on pranayama (breathing) and breathing exercises are included at the start of class to nourish and calm the nervous system and correct short breathing patterns.
A relaxation is also included at the end of class designed to bring the body into a calm and peaceful state and stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) to counter effects of stress in the body and mind.
