YOGALATES (FOUR WEEKS)
Combining the core strength of Pilates with the flexibility and calm of Yoga, the perfect combination!!
The inclusion of core focused Pilates exercises into a space of yogic mindfulness adds a level of internal strength and stability that benefits every body in day to day activities.
This dynamic practice maintains the original goals of yoga as we focus on awareness, mindful movement, action and thought and utilises these gifts to enhance the abilities of the physical body, thereby receiving greater benefits and results.
Also included is the ever important savasana in which we give our bodies and minds time to integrate and absorb the benefits of these two wonderful practices.
Pilates was designed to strengthen, lengthen and tone your body. Focusing on core muscles, breathing and controlled movement, Pilates will improve posture, proprioception and core strength. The central concept of Pilates is strengthening the core of the body, the deep abdominal muscles, buttock muscles and the muscles around the spine.
Yogalates is proven to increase strength, flexibility and muscle tone, alleviate or eliminate back pain, improve athletic performance, and aid in recovery from injury.
This course will run for four weeks and bookings in advance are essential as the class will be limited to eight people.
